Welcome to the webpage of IEEE Malaysia ComSoc/VTS Joint Chapter (MyComVT). MyComVT Chapter is a technical committee of IEEE Malaysia Section; it considered as the second largest group within the Section technical societies. The Chapters provide the local link to the valuable resources available from the IEEE ComSoc & VTS. MyComVT chapter have outstanding engineering programs that feed the engineering community of Malaysia and provide the Society members with valuable opportunities to network.
The IEEE Malaysia Communications Society & Vehicular Technology Society Joint Chapter (MyComVT) was formed on 9 May 2006, combining the efforts of IEEE ComSoc and VTS. It is recognized as one of the largest technical chapters within IEEE Malaysia, officially noted as the second largest group among the Section’s technical societies. MyComVT plays a key role in advancing research in areas like communications, vehicular technologies, and 5G/IoT innovations. The chapter actively collaborates with both local and international entities to promote knowledge exchange, capacity building, and professional development. It was recognized with the VTS Chapter-of-the-Year Award in 2023, further showcasing its leadership and contribution to the field. As a major facilitator for technical development, MyComVT helps bridge industry-academia gaps and supports the growth of engineers and researchers across Malaysia.
MyComVT Chapter organize range of activities include guest speakers, workshops and seminars as well as social functions that’s carried throughout the year. MyComVT Chapter takes pride in hosting the IEEE Malaysia International Conference on Communications (MICC) and International Symposiyum on Telecommunication Technologies. Moreover MyComVT Chapter Technically Sponsor other International conferences (IEEE ICC, VTC, ISPACS, IWTS, NCTT, etc..), this involving financial sponsorship and/or organizing committee from local members.

Vision of MyComVT is to become a leading hub for innovation and knowledge exchange in communications and vehicular technologies within Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region.
Major Achievements:-
Hosting major conferences (e.g. ICC 2016, VTC 2019 and Globecom 2023 in Kuala Lumpur)
Several awards: “Chapter of the Year”, “Chapter Achievement Award (Asia Pacific)” in both ComSoc and VTS arms.
Recent years (2022–2023) | Continued high activity: lots of technical talks, workshops, STEM outreach; more awards (2023 ComSoc Asia Pacific Chapter Achievement Award, VTS Chapter-of-the-Year for Malaysia Joint Chapter, 2023 IEEE Malaysia Outstanding Large Chapter Award).
